When it's more than one thing.

Many people don't struggle with just one thing. Substance use can grow alongside anxiety, depression, trauma symptoms, or other mental health challenges — and each one can feed the other.

What co-occurring means

Two challenges, one integrated plan

A co-occurring disorder is a substance use disorder alongside a mental health condition — such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, or PTSD. Because they influence each other, treating only one rarely works. We address them together.

  • Emotional symptoms and substance use patterns treated as connected.
  • Relapse risk understood in the context of mental health.
  • Coping strategies and support systems built into the plan.
